Although I am not familiar with this specific speaker, I might suggest an approach that, perhaps, could help. If the speaker terminals are directly accessible (I presume that they may not be, by your approach), simply test resistance from positive speaker terminal to connector. A low or zero ohms resistance shows a direct connection. Presuming that the terminals of the speaker are not directly available, you might use this alternative approach (I am assuming that you have identified the negative speaker terminal input, as I believe you indicated).

Anyway I can be contacted at and I will post what you have to do what has to be done when I figure it out to get the SB-WA310 Sub Module on and used just for sub use and also use the rest of the channels, why waste them. I have the pinout of what each of the 25 wires do. So I think I know already how to turn this on just cause I understand the lingo of the pinout mames. I just have'nt had time to do it.

You need the dvd unit, you can't use the sub without it. Plug in the 25pin cable to both dvd unit and sub, With the power disconnected carefully break into the 25 pin cable insulation somewhere along its length. Expose at least 2 inches of shielding. Cut half the shielding to expose the cables within. 5 of the 7 black cables contain a coloured wire with bare ground wire, these are the line-ins for the amps in the sub unit. One of these 5 contains a blue wire and bare ground wire, this is line-in for the sub.

Obtain/ make a simple audio generator - a LM555 timer chip would do fine. Desired frequency about 100 Hz (not critical).

Even though it would only take me a couple minutes to try it I'm so busy with repairs. When I get caught up I will get to it in about a week. Anybody who is still interested in getting this module running just for the sub and maybe the rest of the power for mids and highs E-mail me at the address above, I'm not one to post messages on these sites. Though, I get allot of amp repair business from people from this site. Still, I'm not one to go around posting. I will most likely will for this if many peopl are still wanting to know.

The core of vSpace Pro 11 doesn't have a laundry list of new features, but what it does have is significant. What's new in vSpace Pro 11.2? Ncomputing vspace for windows 7 server 6 6 9 1 zip. We're glad you asked.

I am looking for a Pinout for a Pansonic SB-WA310 Subwoofer. This is an active Subwoofer with a Proprietary 23-Pin Connector that connects to a HT-800 Home Theater Receiver. The Receiver is Dead, but I would like to still use the Subwoofer. I have tried to trace the lines for the Subwoofer and have found the Neg going to the Speaker, but On further testing I have come up with 4 Possible Pos connections (all reading beween 8-10 Ohms resistance) If anyone has the Pinout for this connector or could tell me how to go about narrowing my search further it would be greatly appreciated.

Does someone know hot to connect the Panasonic sub-woofer model: SB-WA310 (no breakout cable, just the sub itself), to any receiver with a regular sub-woofer output? I'm aware that the unit is gonna have to be opened and some soldering will have to be done as well. Actually I've already tried different ways to connect it with the help of the pin layout (see below), with no success. --Here's the pin layout: 01 - DVDAC2 02 - DCDET 03 - DVDAC1 04 - SYS6V 05 - MUTE_H 06 - DGND 07 - FRONTR - IN 08 - SUB+B 09 - OUTPUT_GND 10 - OUTPUT_GND 11 - FRONTL - IN 12 - SURR_L - IN 13 - GUARD_GND 14 - SURR_R - IN 15 - CENTER - IN 16 - GUARD_GND 17 - SUBWOOFER - IN 18 - GUARD_GND 19 - PCONT 20 - FREQ_HOP 21 - SYNC 22 - FL1 23 - SUBAC1 24 - FL2 25 - SUBAC2. I don't have the breakout cable (if I did it would be fairly easy to identify them properly) I just have is the sub-woofer itself. Since I don't have the original unit to connect it to, I think two or more of the pins have to be connected together (to act like a switch) to make the sub function to turn on. The number 17 says Sub In, so I believe this is the positive then we have to use one of the ground pins.
